The sunset is on the horizon.

And for me, that’s literally all.

My mind has so much space.

This is the feeling I want to have. It is the feeling I have worked to have.

And will nurture, evolve, refine.

I sit at my ‘desk’.

A stunning heavy set hand-polished piece of local wood. On my balcony, outside, in my pants.

With the best view of Medellin there is.

I’m in an apartment I bought three years ago.

6 weeks ago I gave up my 5 year career…

Since then I’ve been working on my own projects.

Spending time with friends.

Planning a few trips…

Generally feeling into this new sense of presence. Learning how to recalibrate time.

Unlearning a sense of productivity that was idly rewired into me for the last 5 years.

I now have a Resident Visa for Colombia.

It’s a badge of honour. It’s my reward for the last 5 years of working in a company that had more dramas than a soap opera.

And paying my taxes.

And god, I’ve contributed. But I’m ready to do more. Directly helping this country that has held and grown me like the best surrogate.

My dreams are clearer now.

I have 5 more years of experience, stories, knowledge.

And so here we are.

It’s time. I’ve been thinking about it for a while.

As I sit here in my pants, surveying my space in the world, I reactivate my Medium account.

I skim read old articles.

It’s like finding a treasure cove.

My words are raw natural resources.

Damn, I’m proud of what I found.

And whilst, yes, I’ve been mostly absent for half a decade.

It’s with bloody good reason. The last 5 years of focus make sense.

But here I am again working with my words.

Building, creating.

But this time I have a much stronger foundation.

5 years ago, I knew nothing. I laugh at my self.

At that point in time, I really thought I was ready to help people, but damn I was cocky.

So fast forward to where I sit now, and I survey the insights.

Moving country, a brutal lockdown, a new job, a rotating cast of males, all whilst continuing to grow myself.

Building a solid second family, mostly incredible like minded females. Crafting a complex career working for the world’s largest tech company. Buying an apartment. Training the hardest I have in all my life. Learning a second language.

Throw in a visa residency and a new qualification in Menopause Coaching and more hours than I care to mention educating myself on science and longevity.

So here I am.

Upgraded, rocking my perimenopause and concocting a toolkit to help other women like me to rise up.

Let’s destroy the bullshit narrative western society’s had us drinking from like an open bar at a wedding.

Now I see I have so much more to offer.

I need to get it out. And finally the words are coming.

It feels good to be back.
